Hi all, back again after many, many hours.

Once again, ~NO SCRIPTING~. Everything is completely mechanical.
This version uses remote sensing without the antennae that my other bots had, which gives it a much, much greater range. It basically uses an internal compass (and rockets) to seek concentrations of food. It takes a few curving paths but will get all of the food particles if you give it long enough.

Due to the distance between the food particles, jack up the sim speed if you can.

Cheers user Scientific Accuracy for pointing out a little bug that I ~think~ I've fixed.

Now that's a unique and creative way to look for food. I'm impressed that this is all mechanical. At first I thought the lasers found the food until I read the description. Nice work. :tup:

Nah nah, that was on the old deleted scene. Once you pointed out the problem I tested it a few more times and (I think) figured out what caused it

But because some times had already passed I just uploaded it as a new scene so it would be top of the queue.

Absolutely amazing. I have spent hours trying to see how it works! I found that the food had no attraction (or other "field") set, so how could the animal detect it? I wondered if you were tricking us (for fun). It was only by testing how attraction works that I solved the problem. As for how the animal moves and captures the food - incredible. _o_

Very interesting, I'm trying to do reverse engineering to understand this robot, does it have any programming in the script menu?
