I made some chess in algodoo! I'm not very good with making the pieces, I know, but I at least tried!
Try playing it with your friend, your parent, or even your cat! It's hours of srategic fun! Just make sure your cat doesn't go batting around the mouse... other than that, have fun! And don't forget to tell me in the comments any feedback you have!

A couple of suggestions:
1. When I start Algodoo, the entire chessboard explodes! :o
Algodoo is a physics simulation program, which means you are supposed to make scenes that MOVE and DO things. It's not simply a drawing or paint program, which is how most of the children use it.

2. The black chess pieces are very hard to see when they are sitting on the black squares. Make the chess pieces either a lighter shade of black, or make them some other contrasting color, such as brown or blue.

Overall, you did a good job on it.:tup:
Ok, thanks. I will take that to mind
I fixed the 2nd one
Also, Xray, this is supposed to function as electronic chess, as YOU use the move tool to move the pieces.
It looks MUCH better. GOOD JOB!

Yes, I know that each player has to use the Move tool in order to move the pieces. That's the only way the pieces could be moved without starting Algodoo. But there's a chance that players might accidentally grab a square and move it, which would mess up the board. But there is a way to prevent that if you wanted to make a change to it. Here's how: Algodoo allows you to place parts of the scene on different "layers". Layer number 0 (zero) is the default layer when you launch Algodoo. So, if you were to move the board (all 64 squares) to a different layer (say, layer 1), then a player would not be able to accidentally move a square while playing the game because he would only have access to layer 0. You can move all the squares by first selecting them and then do a "cut" (which is Ctrl-X). All the squares will disappear and a copy of them will be on your computer clipboard. Then right-click anywhere on the scene background, then hover your cursor over "Layers". Another panel will show which allows you to control the layers. Now click on "Add new layer", which will produce layer-1. Click on layer-1, and it should turn red, meaning that you now are working on layer-1. Then PASTE the squares onto that layer using Ctrl-V. You will then need to adjust the position of the board so that it lines up properly with the pieces which are on layer 0. Once they are lined up, then click the background again, and select layer 0 (the word should turn red). Then SAVE your scene. Now people will be able to play the game without worrying about accidentally grabbing and moving the squares!

If you don't want to do that, it's your call, but it would be a good learning experience for you to try new things!
@Xray wut?
@Ken3344 wut?
@Xray I have a book that is going to be made for you.
@That_Book -- Why?

Also Xray, I did change the layers, thank you!
The board still explodes. Why don’t you glue the pieces together? (Click on the group of pieces 2 times then click on Geometry Atractions. Then click on Glue Together.)

Okay thx!;)
