The title says it all a fully functional At - At walker from Star Wars

qa, ws to aim the cannons
e, d to fire them
<. > to walk
\/ to mirror
x to delete all bullets after fired to reduce lag

I built this hunk of metal without stabilizers and invisible wheels so all this thing is pure engineering from trial and error. Also, it is built to scale if you figure a human is about 1/8 of the screen at 1.00X zoom.

I also plan to make a Hoth scene for fun and ill release that when i'm done

EDIT: thanks Frank for the updated gun script it took me a while to figure out a way to implement it but i think you will like how i did it. Now this thing shoots actual lasers!!!

Dude, I give you 1/0, A.K.A. ∞*. I could never find any way of expressing my thanks to someone, but I think I should at least try to make a rebel vehicle or an AT-ST or something like that. On a 'game' called Incredibots (on www.xgenstudios.com), someone managed to make an AT-TE(i think that is what it is called: the walkers that the clones use in Star Wars episodes 2 & 3), and the shape limit for each incredibots scene is 500, btw. But, are you a Star Wars geek too?

Hey cool. Nice walker, thank you for credit with the gun script. I have some newer scripts without the bugs of the old one you're using a variation of. You can use any you want, especially if you're putting them on something so impressive.

luki, you try making one and then you will think "difficult?". I tried making one and it was a COMPLETE DISASTER! I don't know how these people do this! 10/10! If there was an option to overrate, I would rate 100/10! :tup:

The difficult part about the walking mechanism is that any tiny adjustment no matter how small can send the whole project in the trash. I had to fine tune the position of those little "boxes" and make sure that it walked in a realistic manner similar to the actual AT - AT in the movie and that it walked without dragging feet, making leg joints go inverted, and do a decent job going up hills. While creating this thing i kept multiple copies of every part and kept copies of older versions of every part just in case i messed up. I had to make sure that i tuned the walking wheel so that each leg was walking at exact opposite movements on the walking wheel. etc...

Agreed on the legs. That walking mechanism is freaking hard. I've made some pretty nice walkers, but so far I have never managed to get anything useful out of that mechanism.

i love Star Wars and i love the vehicle. lasers are awesome. and when r u gonna make the hoth scene??? im looking very forward to it. i would suggest making a wampa monster just like in the movie. and also it can be 1-2 players. P1 controls the snow speeder and P2 controls the atat walker. you can even make the tow cable! also hinge controls for the walker should be on screen to choose if you wanna have the motor and deselect autobrake so that the cpu can fire the lasers and move the walker. and the wampa monster would just come in the way.

havephun123, the snowspeeder is a good idea, but phun is only 2d and you cant reay turn the rope arround the at-at, but anyway a good idea
