I think it's because you have turned on attraction.

This is not a bug,it is a Attraction Quadratic.
Because the border of this polygon around on polygon is pulling the object together to cause the object to fly away at great speed when on middle of polygon(Check the polygon material).Try to change the Attraction Quadratic to Linear and see what happens.
