What you made here is called a "spring engine" because it gets its power from an unstable string which has a negative damping factor. Also, your steam engine doesn't show any functional valves. There needs to be a valve on the steam input port to the cylinder, and a valve on the exhaust port.

So, it's a good start, but it needs a few changes in order to function like a true "steam engine".

If you search Algodoo for "steam engine" (include the quotes) you will see lots of examples of steam engines. Some are really well made and other are poorly made, but you can learn a lot from them.

@Xray i just wanted to make a model on the basic concept that steam pushes the piston instead of petrol gasses with igniton i don't know how to make valves or script steam/spawn engines (Translated)
