It's a warm Summer day, and you decided to spend time relaxing at the beach one late afternoon. You watch the waves gently roll in and out and you hear the occasional cry of a seagull. You smell the salt air and you feel the sun's rays on every exposed surface of your skin. You notice an old corked bottle bobbing along the surface of the waves and you wonder what message that someone placed in it years or maybe even decades in the past. Is that person still alive? Does the person need help? Maybe it was placed in the ocean many centuries ago! Maybe you should just leave it alone. Maybe you should fetch the bottle and read its message. Maybe you should just continue to watch it bob up and down over the waves.
