Hello again!

In a previous scene of mine, I promised to have my third generation terrain generator out by the end of the year.
In hindsight, that really wasn't a lot of time, so I didn't really have time to add that many more things to it.

However, it's now finished and I am kind of proud of it!

This generator adds a few features that weren't included in the Terrain Generator 2.0, as well as a few fixes and optimizations.
Most notably, it can generate cave ceilings, add curves to certain properties, and group the output terrain.
It's also in a portable GUI (although I did also release a version of the second one as a GUI in my Visual Forms scene) so that it can be used in any scene.

I also added the capability to merge the bottom part of the terrain (i.e. the darker part below the surface) into 1 polygon. In my experience though, it causes quite a bit of issues and shouldn't be enabled for large stretches of terrain. As such, it is disabled by default.

To generate terrain, simply click "Generate!"
Feel free to tweak the listed properties to your liking. Each property has a brief description of what it does and how it affects the terrain!
And finally, if you share terrain made using this generator, I would love to see it!

P.S. I am retiring the "XCS/XKS/XARR" subtitles in my Author name for new category acronyms. Xarbian was a name thing me and a former friend (UnityDogGaming04) made up for our scenes -- but unfortunately, after nearly 3 years, we are no longer friends. As such, I don't feel that it is appropriate for me to label my scenes as "Xarbian" anymore.

We ended our friendship on good terms, and we both learned tons about ourselves in the nearly 3 years we spent together. To UnityDogGaming04 -- if you are reading this, thank you for everything.

In the future, I will also include the meaning behind the scene category in the bottom of the scene description!
2017 - 2025 Little RTS (regular thyme scene)
Happy New Year!

REUPLOAD: Cave offset broke (of course, it's not a Little scene if it works perfectly fine until it's uploaded:/)

UPDATE 3.1: Added a new feature (fill boundaries), fixed downward slopes causing missing cave ceiling chunks

This is epic. The functionality, layout, completeness, and attention to detail are impressive.
I concur with s_noonan. Very nice! _o_
how tf yall even make this kinda stuff
didi -- In order to make complex scenes like this one you need to learn how to code with Thyme Script. There is a lot of good information about Thyme Script on the Algodoo Forum. You can get there by clicking the tab labeled "Forum" at the top of any Algobox page. Once there, click on the heading "Thyme Scripting". There are a few other resources available to learn Thyme Scripting but someone else will have to point you to them.

If you get serious about learning how to code, there are a few people here on Algobox who might be willing to answer your questions (including me).

Have fun!

For me, a lot of my experience with Thyme came from deconstructing cool scenes I found for the past 8 years.

Most of my knowledge with Thyme above the fundamentals has been developed over the course of the last 2 or 3 years, though.

This scene is quite complex, but I would be more than happy to tell you how some of my less complex scenes work!
I built this scene using my "Visual Form Creator" scene -- which makes scripting for GUIs a lot easier for me -- and hopefully whoever tries it!

If you have any questions in specific about my scenes, someone else's scenes, or just thyme in general, please let me know and I will do the best of my abilities to answer!
I had very, very little outside help for the majority of my time learning Thyme, and I hope to make it easier for Algobox users coming after me to learn it.
