Algodoo

It's that Russian Space Magic. It goes twice so fast it sounds like one. The second bullet's supposed to chase the first through the same hole. It was a cool idea, but the production for these rifles was expensive, assembly and maintenance were complex, and it wasn't exactly praised for its reliability. Despite its limited production, the AN 94 saw some deployment within Russian special operations units.

It's already loaded and ready to go. It's set to auto, which exhibits all the funky firing behaviors. It'll do 2 round burst at the hyper cyclic rate and then continue firing auto at the reduced rate. In real life that's a difference between 1800 RPM in burst and 650 during sustained automatic fire. Controls are with the drag tool or enter key, there's a working safety and selector but they're on the skin which is currently to the rear. it's grouped so you just have to click anywhere on the skin and bring it to the front. The selector is dragged down before it's slotted over to its desired position, it indexes by shifting upward into one of 3 pockets. It's hard to explain but I'm sure with some fiddling you can figure it out.

Reliability is . . . it's a work in progress man, and that might be an overstatement. I highly doubt I'll get anywhere near real world reliability with it. The fact I whipped this up as "fast" as I did and the fact it works *at all* is a miracle. Updates may come, but don't hold your breath about it.

Some features were modified/cheesed to make them work in the constraints of the program. Some pieces on the real thing rotate in ways algodoo cannot model (around the X axis). I think those workarounds still capture the essence and function of the real-world components and faithfully demonstrate the function.
