their is 2 types of bow composite standard bow which people used in medieval ages and (compound bows) which use a series of pullies and high tension cords to create a elastic force. from what i can tell you did more of a compound bow:tup:

adaquate shrimp is actualy wrong because the two strings actualualy preform the same function theyre like a 2 ply string so instead of twisting the string in real life you just make two like in the bow. also its not a recurve becaise the limbs are bent tward the shooter :)
