Notice:
This is a detailed, texture heavy and resource heavy scene, it may not play properly on older or lower end systems. Computers with higher end hardware that can achieve 16+ fps, the train should be 99.9% reliable, I only ever had it derail once in 50+ tries. Side note, this scene only works in Algodoo, tried in Phun but all of the motors, hinges, springs, etc would have to be redone for it to work correctly.
Description:
This is my third try at making a roller coaster in Algodoo, it's a highly detailed and semi-realistic looping roller coaster. What resulted is probably one of the most detailed looping roller coasters in algodoo at the date of posting. The design of the train, track, graphics/textures etc are from NoLimits Coaster Simulation, no external programs were used in making this aside from textures.
The track is Intamin style with Hyper style trains and starts out in a station, features a launched uphill lift (like Maverick), underground parts, working trim brake sections, etc... and has not 1, not 2... but 3 vertical loops (not just a circle, but an actual teardrop shape as seen on real roller coasters), in addition an ending water splash area into a smooth braking section (please note there is no water included as it drops the fps far too much).. the whole track is gravity based, and needs no additional boosts, etc.
To get started, simply hold the right arrow till the train is over the crest of the first hill, after that you don't have to do anything, you can move the train back and forth or use brakes in the station via the arrow keys.
Release Update:
I've tried repeatedly to post all 3 verisons (giga, hyper, floorless) however algobox always server errors on the other 2 scenes, this was the only one that worked so I am just posting this.
It actually does work on Phun, it'll sound lame but the only way to make it functionable is by grabing the train and lift it all the way up and let it go on the drop. BTW This is the most awesome coaster ever! Very realistic 10/10!!
This should have more comments/ratings.
Finally a scene again which is actually put some real effort.
Looks are great, track is great, scenery is great.
It does lag a little for me, but I'll still give this scene a 10/10.
