Old Style (~1916) 6 Cylinder Rotary Engine.
Rotary engines are
not the same as a radial engine, do not get them confused.
Learn about the difference here:
Rotary engine.
Radial engine.
Simply start the sim and watch the mechanical beauty.
I know earlier I said I wanted to use a laser collision engine, instead I have gone for a spawn engine. I think it's probably better.
Rotary engine is by far the hardest engine to make in Algodoo, mainly because the entire engine rotates around a crankshaft and I have to adjust engine accordingly because of forces applied to spinning engine with moving parts inside. So far I have not found a rotary engine as good as this one. Mechanical copy of real engine, 100% reliability at sim.freqency = 200.
Mechanically, it works exactly the same as a real one, which is really interesting! If you don't believe, find a cross section of a WW1 rotary engine and compare.
P.S. This is not my 9C engine I mentioned I was working on. Right now that is in development, might not be finished.
