ok. i made this fish for a contest but i wanna make it "swim" in water.
it needs to float in the air and move with the arrow keys but when i let go of the arrow keys i want it to stop instantly. another thing is is that it turns upside down and every which way when it moves.
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!?!:cry:

That's one nifty looking fishie :coolgrin:

Click on a random part of the fish (one that is only for looks, and isn't functional) and set it's inertia multiplier to -inf. Then set the airfrictionmult of the whole fishie to 6.25, and set the controlleracc of the whole fishie to 120.

Myakka, remember that water has a lot of resistance so an object moving through it will stop kinda quickly when forward propulsion is stopped.
Check my scuba diving girl scene, I spent a lot of time simulating underwater swimming and the resistance of water.

This scene looks great already!!!! An little steam punk like.

Yeh, it's very steampunk. I love it. Try simulated aerodynamics for stability when it is "flying". I think it's a fine entry for 2011 scene contest :tup:

but its a fish and fishes can change the z-position without changing roll or pitch angle with the swim bladder( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swim_bladder )

good eye TC42:lol: .i did base this off my math book as i am only in 9th grade. it is the Pretince Hall algebra 1 math book. i tryed to make it as similar as i could but the rest of the fich was cut off so the back end i thought up.
