want to do something like the iron surface, and it is falling apart. how to fix it ?

Use 150 Hz or more (click on the gear in the upper right corner, go to Simulation tab, and put 150 or 200 Hz)
The densities are Ok. but 60 Hz (the default) is very bad for anything that requires precision

I had good results with:
strut density = 2.0
pin density = 20.0
sim frequency = 100
