Sorry guys. I wanted to try substituting the thumb.png file inside a .phz file. I asked AI to generate an unbelievable thumbnail in the Algodoo scene type style as seen on the Browse page. AI kind of failed because the scene thumbnail doesn't look like an Algodoo scene. Homer was an afterthought. I succeeded in creating a custom thumbnail, but it wasn't worth the effort.
Q: is it a picture that self-deletes onspawn or something else?
A: It is something else. I unzipped the .phz and swapped out thumb.png, then I did some other secret step, and then I zipped up the phz. The AI image is only in the thumbnail.
Q: One reason is the fact that the wheels trade off making contact with the road.
A: If the wheels are as stiff at the ends as they are in the center, and the road is flat, then it should not matter. Wheels could extend past 180° with tapered ends.
Q: The rumbling sound and vibration would be intolerable.
A: The wheels could be counterbalanced in order to minimize vibration.
Q: especially at higher speeds.
A: You may be right.
Consider this scene as a blueprint for making an electric car using a starter motor, batteries, gears, and any extra half wheels you have lying around.
I see your point. You are not the only Algodooer that feels that way. Feel free to downgrade the scene. I won't take it personally. Let's see if we can get this scene to be the lowest rating on Algobox.
Thanks for letting me know. I just tried both links and they appear to work for me. I need to log onto the site every 30 days for the site to remain active and I may have been a day late. If it still does not work for you then we may be out of luck.
Good tutorial except x = 0 should be scene.my.x := 0 at 3:11 in your video. Because you set x=0 in the console, the present scene works on your PC but not for anybody else who downloads this scene. Other users who read this comment should comment whether this scene works for them or not.
P.S. This scene could be much smaller if you converted the .png to .jpg.
