I don't mind the theme of the cannon. just the firing mechanism. Having several cannonballs stored in the body of the cannon automatically reloading would make it more appealing.
If somebody tried to copy a box from a game into Algodoo it would still be rated lowly. I don't rate objects on how accurately they depict them, but on how interesting and inventive they are.
A circle spawner is neither interesting or inventive.
Couple of problems though:
-Has trouble going over a small ledge. Increase friction , power or front suspension.
-Gun was unsatisfying. Increase size of bullets (or atleast tracers) and change the colour. They were hard to see in the backdrop.
Very inconsistent and unreliable I'm afraid, but you got the right idea!
You need more space inside the gun to stop jamming. Increase the space behind the bolt to put the shell ejecting mechanism further back. And change it to a rectangle. Polygon collisions can be a bit dodgy, especially when fast recoil is concerned.
Consider putting the bolt onto rails aswell. This will increase the stability of it while allowing you to play around with the empty space the shell will kickback into.
Pretty good. I like the reload mechanism, try to use composite shapes made of boxes and circles instead of custom polygons, they tend to have collision glitches.
I really like you engine setup and how it transfers power to the wheels (I think I may steal it). The orbiting debris is pretty cool aswell. Nice use of textures!
Few problems. You need to somehow stop more than one bullet being loaded in at once, and the clip wasn't pushed up hard enough. The recoil was tremendous, but you didn't have anything to absorb it, so it just throws the cannon around.
Other than those it was pretty cool! I especially loved the mechanism that pushed the shells up. Also, nice use of sequencing.
Firing for too long leaves too many circles. I suggest making the boxes immune and making the ground a killer. This'll kill the bullets and reduce lag, aswel as increasing the aesthetics.
