I'm on a crappy pentium notebook right now so I'm gonna put up with the mousepad tomorrow and fix the seat, but I found that the angVel of the wheel is limited by Algodoo. with a simple command I could lower the time from 400 to 357.06668!

Thanks Christer for the testing! This was going to have only 1 gear (2nd gear) but with the increasing weight it had crappy acceeration. so I added 1st and 3rd and noticed that the engine only did 700-800 rpm on 3rd, so when I got rid of the angVel limiter it literally got shot at 50 km/h more :cool:

That engine is old, uses a failed tech and has 2 hinges to link piston to crankshaft, and that reduces torque because of the damping they produce. With a rotary you'd be using 1 or none (like on the cheap starengine knockoff) so you'd have an op engine like rotary collision engines

No one will delete it. In other places such as TPT (Powder Toy) art is not allowed at all, but this surely was not a 10 minute work! It looks awesome indeed
Kilinich's textures are very handy. If you need the white-transp texture someday, and notice that it's bugged and has weird transparent lines, tell me and I can send ya the 512x256 version. Kilinich made it 1x64 to make it light, so that scenes were lighter, but it's bugged since 1.9.9 or before

What if you delete the boxes that catch the skirt? Maybe you can fix it

If you open it with the integrated browser it won't download it mainly because it can't download anything save scenes.
Also FIREFOX WON'T WORK! Please use Chrome or whatever else!
I've tried to do this for a long time but eventually gave up. It works perfect for me in sport mode (6 or 10 meters more, but that's ok!)

Well, keep in mind that your rotary engines are quite low in comparison with others! If you compare piston engines, you'll see that they are all not so different specs-wise. But if you get your weird cold-fusion, octaturbo rotary (xD) and compare it with a collision rotary you'd be utterly destroyed.
Now, piston engines aren't comparable with rotaries. Just don't try

Everything can be scripted in Algodoo, though you'll need to use scene.entityByGeomID(readable(owner)).geom0 (which is quite advanced) or scene.my.speed. But I don't see the point of doing what eanayayo says though.

More density makes objects less compressible, and makes axles connected to them more rigid. Also you can do something like in my simple tank (just browse on my scenes) and you'll have even more traction

If you saw more scenes you'd know that it is working fine, but only if you use a web browser. We all complained about that but Algobox's staff is not gonna do that, whatever their reason is.
In other words you can just copy the URL and open it on whatever you use

I meant the "10000 - (scene.my.speed) * 100" part. yeah, that'd give smooth max acceleration, but if you're going to use axles I wouldn't even care :lol:

1- Dense objects have WAY better physics (use 50 or 100 kg/m2 if you can)
2- 60 Hz is totally useless, shame that Emil didn't listen :| Use 100 or 120

'Cause you're using 60 Hz and the rpm limiter is making it go that fast. Just put frequency to 120 Hz

That number is the number of scenes YOU DOWNLOADED! Not the scenes downloaded by other people!

Try this: look at the number, download any scene, and then look at it again. You'll see it increased by one. if you don't download any scene in a week, the number will remain unchanged

As for the gun, the gas system doesn't seem to work; it's lacking a bolt lock. and if you've got some spare time, you can improve the skin with some gradients and maybe take some ideas from my RPK. But you're good at making realistic guns! I just can't replicate some mechs in Algodoo

That's awesome indeed. you can limit the speed by either changing the collideSet of the boxes when the engine gets too fast, or wiring angVel on the boxes' size (more angVel => less size). That'd give you smooth RPM control and more power if you give it a sudden load
