To cut down lag take a screen shot of your work and use it, that way you still have the pride of the work and less parts involved. Thats what I do on some of my scenes so I can have more detail and less lag.
Just Kilinich being Kilinich again, creating great and innovative scenes. We need a Kilinich rating button that goes to 11, until then I can only give you a 10.
Gent, try closing all the tool bars when running a scene. I had a scene that was a little slow and that got it back to 100%.
And Im sure you already know but just in case make sure you have the latest driver installed for your graphics card. MY computer has a primary and secondary driver and if I dont have the correct one for each, mine runs real slow too. It has taken me a long time to figure out why v2.0 would'nt open then why it ran slow.
If you have an ATI card let me know and Ill try to find the link to the correct drivers.
No problem Gent, they have been saying that some ATI cards are a problem. If you have a primary and secondary driver like me, and you dont have the correct 2 drivers it will run way slow like mine did. And mine ran slow with only one of the two.
These are the drivers for my card but yours may be different.
The primary is ATI Radeon 9600/9550/X1050 series
Secondary is Saphire Radeon 9600 Atlantis
If you need them go to the ATI website and download the ATI Catalyst Control Center and install it. It has both drivers but you will still have to go to the driver manager and install them there. Install both in the correct primary/secondary places. The Catalyst control Center may have the drivers for your card also.
I hope you get it going. If you already have the correct driver or drivers then who knows.
Once I got the drivers sorted out the speed became acceptable, this scene runs at 100% but it seems close to the limit of my card. But you are correct, I do need to get a different card.
Very good scene! And a very good idea, I pulled the chain for a short time but then gave up after what I felt was a reasonable time. Then I looked at how the scene worked, just too hard to get the message but still great idea. (I was hoping to get a 10 rating but no luck.....lol) 10
Nice game! I liked the ammo count and health score, that adds to the game. I would hide the stuff that generates the aliens from view by making them transparent. 10
I was gonna make a tilt system on my last 2 pinball scenes but a combination of things happened and I just wanted to finish both scenes. Mine was gonna use attraction to move the ball and a timer to limit how much you could tilt. Yours is very nice! I hope you are building a complete pinball machine to use with it.
I missed the first version but this is nice. I have made a few Phun/Algodoo pinball machines myself and its always good to see other people make them too. 10
@ Benji, there are aliens, one on the patrol ship protecting the Moon and a giant one hiding inside the Moon that grabs the lunar lander if it lands in the right crater.
Looks very good but I cant try it until I get a new graphics card so I down loaded it for later. I like pinball machines and I have uploaded a few. Cant wait to try yours.
