unrealistic, but awesome anyways:lol:
Not done, might do some changes over time!
Better look with antialiasing
And DON'T BOTHER! NOT PHUN FRIENDLY!

For takeoff DON'T TOUCH THE PITCH!

Realistic size and front gear (i think, except for that little polygon that goes up, at the left of the suspension, it just slides with a little piston-like thingy)

Controls in Scene. The controls box is fixed to the plane because one of the things that I mostly hate of Algodoo planes is that you have to memorize all the controls. Anyways this one hasn't got so much!

Rate and comment. Open to feedback! It's my first plane! Not last

P.S: Credits to Kilinich for the K-Wing A2. Hard to use, but airforceMult saved me of a much worse headache!

Used texture in scene.

V0.6: Fixed front wheel position, was in front of all.
V0.9: A few changes on the two wings. (I moved the main wing like 1 meter!)
Not perfect, nor easy to use, and landings are crappy. I'll add Rideg's explosions later maybe.
When on takeoff, when you're flying fastly steer up a bit.

Thanks for all the help guys! It really helps me!

Very good work for your first plane! Its a little tuff to control but you will get better with every plane. This thing looks great, I hope to see you do more planes and its good to see someone do a plane no one else has done yet (or at least I dont think anyone has done this one yet).
Thanks, Bill! Fast to comment:lol: .
Yes, I had a bunch of trouble when calibrating the wing, a lot!
I'll make more planes, sure. I have no idea what plane will be next but let's google!
P.S: Have you used pitch for takeoff? Don't even TOUCH it! And for landing it's better to turn off thrusters 2 and 3. Anyways it's hard to control!
I used pitch for take off on the 1st try and on the 2nd try I let the plane do it and the tail lifted off before the nose but took off fine. I dont want to talk about the landings, they were ugly.....lol But with practice it would improve Im sure.

Also the fine tuning of flight controls is the best part of making aircraft with Phun/Algodoo IMO.

I can't find the controls anywhere. I've checked the plane, and the surrounding area, but I can't find them. They must be right in front of my nose, but I don't see them.

Help?

EDIT--

Redownloaded, I see the box now.

Nice I always liked the 104
Looks GREAT ;)
Like Bill says the tuning is everything!!
You may want to check that the main wing is located just forward of the ballance point and the plane should ballance just forward of the main gear add or move
weight around to achive this for realistic performance :)
Nice job on your first plane !!!
PS the pitch controll is ass backwards, pull up, push down

lol, I didn't see that. Anyways I felt that something was wrong with the pitch!
What do you mean with the main wing and the balance point?
Anyways, thanks to everyone! I didn't expect that it was going to even work, Kilinich's wings are so complex:cool:
OK this is going to get hard to explane:bonk:
if you look at this older version of my b58 the wings are clearly shown
http://www.algodoo.com/algobox/details.php?id=49739
the main wing is the front fixed one and should have a LOT more lifting force than
the rear moveable pitch controll wing, its job is to controll the angle of attack of the
main wing, the main wing is suposed to do most of the lifting of the plane
if you notice in that scene the plane is suspended by a spring close to the ballance point there is a big fixtate on the nose that can be deleted to test and adjust the ballance THIS IS CRITICAL
Most planes ballance between 25 and 33% of the wing Chord
for what we are doing you need the plane to ballance just aft of the center of the K wing and just ahead of the main wheels
If that still doesnt make any sense I will try and break it down further;)
PS I used the old style K wings in mine because I could actualy figgure out how to tune them:bonk:

Ok, understood. Yes, the main wing makes most of the thrust, like 1000 nm are needed for takeoff. you're saying that I should put more? and put the fixed A2 at the rotational center of the plane? I'll see that scene ASAP.
what you need to do to make it realistic is reduce the power of the rear wing so its
not realy trying to lift the plane just change the angle of the main wing
the weight of the plane should be close to ballanced on the main wing, slightly forward is better for stability
you MAY have to increase the power of the main wing or change the angle slightly
Its a real rewarding challenge to get it all working realisticly;)
I know my plane is far from perfect but its not realy done either:lol:
PS in my current plane there is lots of stuff moved and changed that was just an example of how to do the ballancing see it just gets more fun
LOL

PSS this is me for real

wow gent! That's you? lol, I've never thought that most people here would make something so awesome on his life! you've made an affordaplane!
p.s: practice more with Movie Maker!
Much better!!
Yea thats me LOL
Its a lot cheaper and faster to build stuff in algodoo
and you can play in any weather :bonk:
